Cushing Cottage

Cushing Cottage is named in honor of Lt Alonzo Hersford Cushing, an artillery officer in the Union Army during the American Civil War. He died at the Battle of Gettysburg while defending the Union position on Cemetery Ridge against Pickett's Charge.  In 2014, he was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.

The cottage is 400sq ft inside and furnished with antiques.  It includes a king bed, sitting area, dining table, kitchenette, and bath with shower.   A screened porch completes the retreat.
